"He went out like a dick head", is a superb summary of the Bytown Buffoon's swan song.
While his presser today was the start of a long-awaited process, I feel like I've been pounding my head against a wall. The pain was initially reduced, but the swelling and bruising continue to get worse.
For old-style Liberal party members, it must be discouraging to know that most of the candidates to replace their current leader have been involved in the creation of the destructive policies wrought by his government.
The Visiting Consultant from London and Davos will now be able to canvass his billionaire buddies for funds. The sycophantic fifth estate will likely do their best to convince the great unwashed of Canada that a vainglorious globalist is the ideal alternative to any sullied cabinet minister.
Depressing to think that almost a quarter of a year will have to pass before an election can be held to remove the cabal of clowns in charge. Typical Trudopean selfishness.
The Carney stuff is fascinating. The economy is his mess as much as Trudeau’s; countries around the world are tossing his ideas in the bin; he’s dangerous, but with zero charisma, none of the charm for the old gals who still backed the PM, and he even has to unvest millions in Brookfield assets.
He gets an enhanced CV that will be even more attractive for like-minded globalists in Geneva, London, et al. Narcissistic opportunists have insatiable ambitions.
Great debut podcast, Alex -- thank you. So very important to keep our eye on the prize.
Let's hope that the compromised nomination process will bring the final stake in the heart of what's become the vampire party feeding on our country with impunity.
Thank you Jodi! Well said. Has been heartening to see the dogpile on this blatantly obvious foreign interference FRONT DOOR. The Conservatives must tighten it up as well, theirs is only marginally better.
Except he didn't. Not really. He said, paraphrasing, "he 'intends' to resign after the Lieberals select a new leader". How are they going to 'select' this new leader? Is the caucus just going to appoint someone? That's possible I suppose.
I intend to do many things; but, not do any of them.
He's misleading Canadians.
I am very concerned that he will find some course of action that will allow him to stay for as long as he can, even if a new leader is chosen - or not.
Understandable, Peter! Very much a non-apology apology, as much as it is a half-hearted break-up. I can admit to choosing the wording for the sake of SEO. I have to keep podcast titles short, sweet, and obvious. Slightly different beast.
Much to work on, and there are still major battles to fight. No champagne was popped over here!

Thank you for listening, Ted! And well said.

Well said. The waiting will be painful for Canada.
Thank you Karen! We’ll do our best to make the time go by. Lots of major gains and non-Liberal votes to solidify.

I don't trust this slimeball.
