Our citizens and politicians have been suffering from overlapping mass delusions. These include that injections of novel compounds can protect us from disease; that the clever people who congregate in Davos can make us happy; that stopping using fossil fuels will prevent bad weather; that governments can print money without compromising its value.

Doug Ford couldn't cling to vestiges of common sense. His no-BS disposition was an illusion.

For common sense we were saved by the truckers - and Substack!

Canadians who wanted to uphold the Nurenberg convention were fortunate that the truckers stepped up and were supported by refugees from the mainstream media. If it wasn't for them we'd still be living with Shanghai-style lockdowns and fact checkers everywhere.

Let's hope sanity returns before the ruling elites march us into a nuclear conflagration.

I'm surprised it took me two whole weeks to work in a Road House reference. I can't overstate how much I love that film.

If anything, I think I showed impeccable restraint.

Cogent analysis Alex. Very well done.

Until any given province no longer requires federal funds, it seems that its Premier will unfortunately have to play nice with the PM of the day.

I'll say this, and I did try my best to touch on it as politely/coyly as possible. I don't personally believe he's a weak man with the wrong priorities. I think he has some strong qualities, and it's a tough gig, I'm just tired of the spin. (And this is all spin.)
