Thank you, Karen! Thankful for Rob's insights. Hearing from the doctors in my sphere, even they're starting to look at job listings down south. Incredibly ill-advised policy, even by Liberal standards.

On the plus side... I'd take a Javier Milei right about now!

Hopefully, these valuable insights will be read by many young Canadians with entrepreneurial ambitions.

Appreciate that, Ted. I've been lucky to be able to collaborate with many talented (and far more intelligent) Canadians that I admire.

Hope it helps in some small way.

I liked your, hopefully intentional, pun in your opening remarks Alex...

"turn to him to make cents of a seemingly senseless capital gains hike" It gave me my morning chuckle.

Rob Hunter has nailed his assessment of this onerous Lieberal financial disaster. Trudeau's transparent plan is to keep Singh's Non-Democratic Party onboard long enough to get to the next election. This government is NOT interested in doing anything that will benefit Canadians; rather, it's doing what is best for them to stay in power.

I know of some people who will dance with glee at any prospect of 'making the rich pay'.

As Margaret Thatcher said... "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”

A fine essay Rob Hunter.

Cheers.

Hah, yes, thankfully intentional! Glad it nicked the funny bone.

It's indeed a truly lazy effort to drive a class warfare wedge to stay in power, when the baseline Canadian experience is so lousy now (and particularly for young voters), that the old tricks won't resonate.
