Delightfully delicious prose Alex. I retired by 4AM, as had hoped to see DJT cross the 270 mark. That apparently came at about 5:15AM. The most entertaining part of the early hours boob tube viewing was seeing the faces of the talking heads on most of the major networks, including our own communist broadcasting corporation. Like a mangy dog with a bone, none of them would let go.

Have just heard that the loser has finally conceded to the winner. Like dear Hillary, better late than never.

We now have to hope that that the woke mob doesn't make a third attempt on DJT's life. They are a desperate lot, with extremely evil ambitions.

With America seemingly spared a dystopian experience, at least in the short-term, one can hardly wait for Parliament to undergo a similar enimatic episode.

Thanks Ted! I can't pretend I also didn't sneak peeks at MSNBC and CBC for the laughs. I'd normally feel a tinge of guilt, but they should be ashamed of themselves (if they were capable) for the make-up of those panels, and the wounded-deer tones.

Hope DJT's Secret Service expands to a veritable Seal Team 6. Same goes for Elon and co. They're incredibly exposed to some terrible people.

And here at home, we'll get there.

I've read somewhere Alex that Trump is funding his own transition team and not taking anything from the bureaucracy.

Once burned, twice shy I would imagine. I hope he follows through on the 'Dream Team' he assembled throughout the campaign.

That's an awesome team! What's not to like.

Have heard the same privately. Yeah, I think round one was valuable intel into who they can trust in 'The Swamp.' Should be a fairly well-oiled machine this time.

Largely happy for them as well. I know for some, foreign policy mileage may vary. Certainly coming to an end, but we'll see some twists and turns in Canada yet.

Congratulations to the American voters who ignored the biased anti-Trump media.

The influence of corporate left-wing media has been rendered almost entirely meaningless. Pretty remarkable to witness.

Thanks Alex.

I just didn't understand the aggressive negativism against Vance. As you stated, he seems like the best vice presidential candidate in a generation.

I expect to see him as the next US president.

I think that Vance and Poilievre will be good for North America.

Agreed, Carole. I think it was a massive 'tell' that so much of this was a bluff. In my mind, he's unequivocally who Americans should want to be president. Classic success story; Whipsmart and creative with a sense of humour; Rags to riches with a top education; A unique mixed-cultural nuclear family.

Imagine believing any of that is "weird?"
