When I was a lad, I was always told, "Good things come to those who wait".
Years later in boarding school, a roommate put up a poster that featured a pair of vultures perched on a branch of a dead tree atop a remote valley. One bird was saying to the other, "Patience my ass, I'm gonna kill something." Some sentiments never lose their relevance.
The interview with Jordan Peterson is very good. Best way to get to know Pierre is right there. Its a great troll job too because the Liberals and their media allies have invested so much energy into smearing and trying to destroy Peterson and here he is hosting a 50 million view podcast.
It’s a terrific interview, and I’m hearing about it all around town even on the left coast. No reason to have to go through the legacy liberal gatekeepers of the past. The game has changed. https://x.com/jeffballingall/status/1875604366855696873?s=46
I figure if they get a new leader and string this out until October they will get their seat count to maybe 30-40 with a long shot of 50 and official opposition (depending on the Bloc of course). There are plenty of voters who are holding their nose with PP over hatred for Justin and would consider sticking with the Liberals if he is gone. I honestly was hoping JT stayed till the bitter end and suffered a huge defeat and the party needed 10 years to put itself back together after this appalling decade of sucking JT's toes. I wonder if Christy Clark is going to pull the trigger on trying to be the leader. She has been out shaking hands and quietly building support.
I just listened to a Jordan Peterson interview where he says that Trudeau at 50 has the psychological age of between 14 - 16.
There has to be some serious penalty for the Liberal Party who used this juvenile name-brand to ride them into power and who have saddled Canada with the selfsame juvenile delinquent for 9 years. They were all his enablers, the whole lot of them, and they carried out his progressive idealogical destruction of Canada. They can bring in some outsider but every single one of the current Liberals needs to go.
I agree and I would not argue with Jordan on that point at all! I wanted Justin to go to the election so the entire party would get wiped off the map as they deserve a serious reckoning for enabling this atrocious PM for so long. The SNC affair should have been the end of him but they all circled around him and towed the company line for years and years. heck, Freeland would still be carrying his water if he didn't plan to fire her. She only quit because of him setting her up to deliver bad news then get sacked, so she is not some grand beacon of light here. She ate his sandwiches as much as everyone else did. But if they can get a new leader and carry this to October they may survive with enough seats , which is unfortunate. We need strong parties on both sides of the room but these ones need a complete nuclear level house cleaning.
Thanks for the comment, Davey. We all certainly deserved the satisfaction of decimating him at the polls. The pivot now will be interesting, seeing as the majority of candidates are directly tied to this fiasco (Carney, Freeland, Joly, Anand). Clark, at least, is an outsider, but would hold Bonnie Crombie potential, who has been a failure to launch in Ontario.

The hardest part is waiting for the Liberals to land up with less than 12 seats in the HOC - losing official party status.
But it might be worth the wait with Trudeau hanging on in the wings.
Wishing you all a wonderful New Year and may all your patient waiting and dreams be fulfilled.

Happy New Year, Kevin. Those dreams are slowly coming true!
Thanks for the heads up, Alexander.
If this is correct, I'm looking forward to the many fireworks displays tomorrow night.
Happy to have been right! Will be quite the few weeks and months…
