I see that you fingers are firmly on the pulse of the situation Alex. Poilievre is smart enough not to respond to such tripe. The Trudeau troglodytes have been trolling whenever the slimmest glimmer of such a story is presented. It's all that they have left.

Trudeau is done!

We know it, they know it; but, most importantly Main Street Canada knows it. But, they have to keep the subsidies flowing as long as possible.

Well done.

Cheers.

Kind of you, Peter! Unlike Canada's mostly made-up "far-right," this body has a pulse. TBF to the astroturf job that's been laid down by the exact journos we'd expect, if I'm in Poilievre's team I'd prefer to limit some of that exposure. I'm glad he's staying true to who he is, but it's a freebie for the folks who are looking to spend a whole news cycle on something trivial, meant to distract from the failings of Dear Leader.

Yep, have to keep the taps open for their pals as long as possible. I wasn't sold on Trudeau exiting early. Now I'm beginning to think it happens this summer; Friday news-dumped on a sleepy July day, when the headlines are back to blaming climate change for another arson-heavy wildfire season.

Desperation can bring out the worst in people and political parties. Vivid evidence is on display across North America. With your good work Alex, and that of fellow common sense communicators, many more citizens will become aware of what is at stake for future generations.

That's much-appreciated, Ted. That's kind of the job! Populism isn't a dirty word, one is just meeting people where they are. Happy to speak for/to good people who have yet to fully realize they're a more powerful -- and more normal -- majority than they've been made to believe.

Clearly Trudeau crossed a line during his tenure. Too much, too fast, it was just too noticeable to be ignored even by dyed haired sock admiring ladies. This is too much for mansbridge and the like. It must be stopped. Trusted media hard at work.

Oddly enough Ekos and Frank Graves (the owner of ekos) who pledged on Twitter that he will “make sure" that Mr. Pierre Polievre is never going to lead our country is perhaps in the middle of this with his polling results.

Well said. Although, the latest EKOS poll is incredibly screwy. Just 11 points (which would still net a majority): https://x.com/EKOSResearch/status/1783894546071408723

But hey, "Franky never been wrong." https://twitter.com/Jenni_Byrne/status/1617224307851120640

Haven't gotten that intoxicated in years. Don't miss it. Awful stuff.

I'd expect more monkey business before the summer from these folk!

I hadn’t seen that Frank Graves one in December only the one from March 2023 I quoted, which he deleted from Twitter.

I looked it up at Ekos raked in over $1.6M in government of Canada contracts in 2023 alone.

Noticed that there has been minimal after Dec 2023- perhaps the government keeping a low profile due to GC Strategies as well as franks obvious bias in the Dec tweet?

Oops- franks “idle threats” quote was actually in March 2022!

"Extremism, extremism - look, look Harper, Trump, Nazis, diagolon, fringe..." has been the CBC and Liberal's rallying cry at each election while implementing their far left agenda in between. It worked before and there are still a plurality of Liberals and their sponsored media that will continue in that vein.

As Alex points out, progressives do not engage in political debate in good faith.

They either create the wedge issues or exploit them to distract from the real issues. They never answer questions directly, and they readily and shamelessly slander the opposition. For example, Singh repeatedly saying that the Conservatives want to allow the dumping of toxins into Canadian rivers.

What puzzles me is whether they believe their own lies or they don't give it a thought - and use whatever rhetoric and falsehoods are necessary, as long as they persuade their ignorant and uninformed hanger-ons.

Thanks for this, Kevin. Well surmised.

From connecting with some friends inside the big blue machine, the general impression is that they don’t really give it a thought. It’s win at all costs mode, all the time. And they’ve been isolated for long enough, like Colonel Kurtz, that they’re incapable of recognizing some of their madness.
