"A generation of well-to-do, ostensibly (occasionally?) well-meaning progressives got this very, very wrong. You have every right to want to reclaim what was once rightfully yours, before the next not-so-merry band of secular, establishment missionaries comes knocking with a fresh batch of luxury beliefs destined to fail the stress test".
But how many times they got it wrong, covered it up, and looked the other way while churches burned, accounts were frozen, people literally and figuratively trampled, and shovelled untold wheelbarrows of taxpayer dollars out the window.
All the while lecturing us as to who we are as Canadians and smugly virtue-signalling about everything they were doing the opposite.
If these Liberals carry on voting after this, it must be with their heads firmly in the sand or up their a$$ses.
Most definitely, Kevin. And I'm sure a healthy piece of the voter share will remain. The silver lining being: it appears that they're being abandoned by younger generations who, while they may naturally lean progressive, have had enough of the militarized culture war nonsense, and have major institutional priorities such as housing, healthcare, and safety that haven't been addressed, and for which the last of the (predominantly older) Trudeau voters appear sheltered from.
It's easier for the Tru-Anon crowd to argue "Canada isn't broken," when they've already paid off their Glebe mortgage with their exorbitant public sector admin salary, have a family doctor, and they snowbird in Florida.
Delicious material Alex. Spot on analysis, as usual. Good to see that Biden's renowned intellectual prowess was referenced effectively. The Western World is "governed" by some feebleminded individuals, who also don't score high on the morality test. Gonna be an interesting year.
Kind of you, Ted. Sure says a lot about who is really running the show, when these are the malfunctioning automatons we've been forced to settle for.
A small part of me looks forward to the Liberals trying to pin another round of TDS on the Poilievre campaign, just knowing how badly it will fail when half the country can't afford a home, doesn't have a family doctor, there are syringes in playgrounds, etc...
A larger part knows how insufferable this will become. So I'm going to have to brainstorm ways to not go crazy while covering it...
A very good analysis of the state of left-wing governance in Canada, Alexander.
Both the Lieberals, and the Non-Democratic Party, should be ashamed of themselves for destroying our once beautiful democracy. Time will tell if Canadian democratic integrity can be restored after the debacle of the Trudeau-Singh quasi-dictatorship.

Appreciate that, Peter! If people think ArriveCan is bad, they have no idea how deep the rot goes...
Hopefully some brand of accountability starts soon. Do I expect it to be absolute? Sadly, no.
