Brilliant! Excellent coverage of this important event Alex. So refreshing to hear a political leader who is a natural public speaker. His comments come from his heart and his head. They are not the product of some dreary drama course.

Poilievre is a genuine character. His navigation is guided by common sense. It is not subject to the constant course corrections that come with saying what is deemed to be popular, then uttering something completely different.

It is time for bold leadership in Canada, not sophomoric ineptitude. May this celebration in Quebec be the start of a national recognition of what is possible.

We live to give, Ted! Appreciate the note.

Certainly an encouraging development. There's no perfect partisan, but I can at least speak for his team, and they're aces. Should be an interesting few months.

An excellent article Alexander. You've read the tone of the weekend(so far) spot on. Poilievre's speech Friday night was the official start of the election to remove the Trudeau Lieberals from government.

Thank you, Peter! That's spot-on, and with the CPC's fundraising coffers being as full as they are, they've more-or-less been in election mode since July.

Another gem, Alex.

"In adopting this newfangled approach and appealing direct-to-consumer via fresh faces and unvarnished personalities who don’t hate their country or their neighbours because the chattering classes told them so, it’s clear that the Liberals have no idea how to respond".

Except, we implicitly know how the Liberals are going to respond, and you nailed it too:

"Let the insults come. Let the big red abortion button be pushed, and the alert siren fall on deaf ears".
