Hi Alex, I went to journalism school with Colin Brown Jr., who I have to assume is either your father or uncle. It so happens that I have a renewal letter from the National Citizens Coalition sitting on my desk, and I was wondering, do I continue to support the organization or not? My first thought: "They have been going all these years, and what we got to show for it?"

I agree that the most important job is to defeat Trudeau and his insane program to wreck Canadian society and the economy of this formerly great country. My husband I do what we can to support all manner of democracy and health freedom organizations plus quite a few of the Substackers like yourself who are fighting to oppose the insane censorship, the drive to collectivism and the utter incompetence of public health and government in this country. So tell me: how is it that we can't break through and get Canadians to see how destructive the Trudeau Liberals really are? How is it that only 20-30 percent of Canadians actually value freedom? How do we turn this around?

Small world, Yvonne, that's indeed my dad.

I wouldn't want to pretend to have all the answers, and your support in *any* capacity, paid or unpaid is more than enough, and you've been very kind here.

The question of "what do we have to show for it?" is undeniable. Even when I'm trying to focus on the process, and asking for numbers I have to hit to keep businesses afloat, reach X amount of people, pay for this campaign, or even keep the lights on here, I wish some of the deliverables were more concrete.

But here's what I do know, it would be a lot worse without the groups and writers speaking up. I see the metrics, the polling, etc... there are hearts and minds to be won everyday back towards matters of less insanity. To be able to reach, say, millions of people during an election period, or to pay for a writer like Spencer Fernando who helps bring hundreds of thousands of eyes to an issue, or a great video that's going to end up on the desk of policymakers and folks keen to vote for the first time, there's value there. I wish there was a more compelling metric on offer, it's kind of a moving target, but it's a challenge I deal with each day.

Wishing you well!

Thanks, Alexander for your thoughtful reply. I will continue to support NCC because I care about having more freedom and less government. By the way, did you follow the National Citizens Inquiry into the covid fiasco? I think what they accomplished is almost as miraculous as what the trucker convoy accomplished (getting the provinces to drop their insane mandates). Thanks to the NCI there is a documentation for historians to consult. The official story is nothing but never-ending double-down lies. I fear for this country if the Liberals win the next election. We are pretty far gone already, but there is a sliver of hope.

That’s very kind of you. Hope to represent you as best I can.

Yes, I was a real fan of the NCI’s work. Took guts. I was invited to speak, but chose to decline at the time. I’m encouraged to be seeing little vaccine mandate wins starting to roll in. They’ve been integral in starting to create some change.

Congratulations Alex on your additional responsibilities. You have joined a tremendous team that brings common sense to political analysis these days.

BTW, I was blessed to know your amazing Grandfather Brown. CMB was a wonderful human being. He provided wise counsel, publicly and privately, to many fortunate folks.

That's very kind of you to say, Ted. I'm thankful to hear he's had such an impact. I hope I'm carrying on some of that legacy in some small way.
